Dr. Mokbel is certified to perform the Pinhole® Surgical Technique in Fountain Valley, CA
Pinhole® breakthrough treatment offers patients an easier, minimally invasive option to correct gum recession.
The Pinhole® Surgical Technique/ Pinhole Gum Rejuvenation® invented and patented by John Chao, D.D.S., is a scalpel-free, suture-free procedure for treating gum recession.
This procedure is performed by making small holes with a needle in the gum tissue. Using specially designed instruments, the gum tissue is loosened and guided over the receded part of the tooth. Since there is no incision or suturing, patients can expect minimal post-operative symptoms (pain, swelling and bleeding). Most patients also are pleasantly surprised by the instant cosmetic improvement.

A personal note from Dr. Robert Mokbel
For me being a Prosthodontist, and implant dentist is not just about fixing old dentures and making long span bridges, it is not about placing implants or restoring a badly worn dentition, for me it is about people. "People are the best collectibles"
For the past 35 years, I spent a lot of time at USC, dental school, I was teaching Prosthodontics (Pros) in the international program. After I got my DDS degree in Paris, France I did a 4 years research in removable prosthetics and in occlusion, ( the science that relates to the bite and the TMJ), so when I came to USC dental school I found it easy to teach Removable and Fixed Prosthodontics. Now I am teaching Restorative dentistry in the Simulation Lab. With additional training in Periodontolgy (Perio) (Science of gum disease treatment) and implantology, I understand and manage the Prosthetic gums and bone implications of complex situations more efficiently.
Well, if you want save your teeth, and know more about the services we provide, you can visit me in my office and we can get to know each other. call me at 714-968-0308
My staff and myself are looking forward to meet you.
